How can we assist with long-term care? Waltz Long-Term Care provides comprehensive care within Nursing Facility, Assisted Living Facilities, and Retirement Communities.

Our long-term care pharmacy team prepares each patient’s medication in the appropriate dose-pack using state-of-the art bar code technology. Patient’s files are reviewed by our pharmacist each time a prescription is filled, and in consultation with professional staff to ensure the safety and effectiveness of all medications provided.

Each facility is provided with all necessary forms for ordering purposes and refill requests. New orders are
received and once the prescriptions have been completed and doublechecked by our pharmacist, they are then delivered directly to the facility.

A 24 hour on-call pharmacist is available for emergency needs,
including your questions. The consultant pharmacist reviews each resident’s medical record in accordance with state and federal guidelines. This includes an in-depth pharmacotherapeutic review, documentation and charting review, and Federal Indicator analysis to determine compliance with nationally accepted standards. As a result of the reviews, recommendations are generated and reported to the attending
physician and director of nursing. All controlled drug and Schedule II medication procedures are reviewed monthly. Consulting pharmacists are also available to facility staff for scheduled inservices upon request.

Administrators should also know that our services do not end here. Additionally, we can provide all the necessary accessories you may need to present a professional and attractive image including med carts. You may speak with one of our pharmacists for a complete list.

Our comprehensive Home Medical Equipment department is staffed with highly skilled consultants to help you find the right equipment for your patient’s needs. We also offer compression stocking services along with a complete line of diabetic, ostomy and urological supplies. We provide Medicare/Medicaid reimbursable products
and direct Medicare part B billing.
